Substrates
A wide range of porous and non porous substrates including paper, wood, textiles and stone.
Water based adhesives are available either pre mixed or as a dry powder to be diluted.
They are activated as the water evaporates or is absorbed by the substrate and are available in various formulations including concentration and viscosity in order to facilitate a variety of applications.
These adhesives are very quick and easy to apply through various methods. They are low VOC, so can be used in poorly ventilated areas. They cure at room temperature for lower energy costs and so are better for the environment. They are low cost and equipment cleaning is easier, resulting in less downtime.
However it’s important to note that they have longer curing times, limited shelf life, and require careful transportation to avoid wastage.

FAQs & Troubleshooting
Ensure that you are following instructions for your particular grade of adhesive and that you have the right ambient temperature and good air flow. Substrates must be dry and room temperature.
Ensure that you have:
- Used the correct grade of PVA glue for your application
- Used the adhesive according to instructions
- Prepared the substrates properly before applying the adhesive – surfaces must be clean and dry, without any dust or contaminants
- Applied the adhesive evenly and that you have used the right amount
- Used the recommended clamping time
