Always ensure that you are applying the adhesive according to the correct instructions for your specific formulation. Nowhere could this be more true than in the case of gap fillers, which vary greatly in their chemical formulas. Here are a few things to consider if you’re still struggling:

• Does your formulation require clamping?
• Are you aware of the correct cure times for your formulation?
• Does your formulation require the addition of moisture or an activator?
• Does your formulation require a special applicator?
• Can heat be used to increase the speed of the cure?

Also be aware that solvent based adhesives shrink as they cure, in which case a solvent free formulation might be more suitable.
